The 1901 census says that, at the age of 19, he was living with his family at
15 Lytton Road, Bournemouth, and working as a carpenter's apprentice.
The 1911 census says that, at the age of 29, he was living with his family at
15 Lytton Road, Bournemouth, and working at home as an agent for the United
Yeast Company.
He was a private in the army (Army Service Corps) from 11/12/1915.
He was in Winchester for a medical examination on 13/10/1916.
On 28/05/1918, he contracted amoebic dysentry and malaria in Salonika, Greece.
By 17/03/1919, he was living at 297 Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth, and was in
fair general health.
On 28/12/1938, he attended the funeral of his brother, William Ernest Keeling, in
Hounslow.
